Walking with Jesus

There is a story about G. K. Chesterton shortly after he became a Christian.  Some reporter came to him and asked him something like, “I understand that you have recently converted to Christianity.  What would you say to Christ if He were standing behind you right now?”  Chesterton just looked at the man and said, “He is.”

If Jesus is actually with us, right here and right now, why not ask Him our questions and tell Him our concerns?  Why not act as though He is with us?  If we are free to ask Him something, why not expect that He will answer in some way?  It seems to me that we should live the reality we believe.
